My boyfriend and I really wanted to have a cat, but it wasn’t the right time. So we thought about adopting a Pepe. When considering adoption, we felt bad that she might feel lonely while we were at work, so we decided to get two. (It was a good deal, too.)
The day the girls arrived, we couldn’t have been happier. They are extremely sweet and are getting very comfortable in their new home. Until two weeks ago, when one of them started giving us weird looks. We told her it wasn’t okay and tried to set boundaries, but she kept doing it. The weird looks turned into what felt like evil stares, and her behavior has gotten really out of control. Meanwhile, her sister is a perfect angel.
I guess this is what parenthood is all about — giving them tools to grow. We knew it wouldn’t be an easy ride adopting twins, but we are committed to growing stronger alongside our Pepes.
